Skin Hygiene & Health: I Love My Skin

Our Skin Is The Largest Organ Of The Body.  It is so tough that it adapts to the grit of daily stress  like impurities from the environment, lack of sleep and stress of aging and medical conditions.

Do you sweat?
You lose water and electrolytes as you perspire. Hydrate well.
Drink 8 to 12 glasses a day. Dont let your skin dry up. Wrinkles aged you. And even more so as you aged.

Hydrate Well And Stock Up On The Electrolytes That You Lose Through Sweat. If You Are Exposed To Extreme Heat or if your physical activity is e tremely high intensity or takes you through more than an hour, Hydrate With Energy Drink Rich With Pottasium, Sodium And Glucose For Recovery. This will help you recover physiologically and ensure no organs breakdown due to heat stress and exhaustion.

As the sweat bathes your skin, your skin gets moisturised. Now, that is good. But it is very important that you keep your skin clean and its pores unclogged.
Skin hygiene is vital   or you will end up having complications like allergy breakouts, pimples or  acne.

Skin Is Our Body's First Line Of Defence.

How do you strengthen your skin?  Apart from good nutrition and effective exercise, your skincare routine is important.

But with all of the cleansers, toners moisturisers, serums, oils and more, you might get overwhelmed.

Stress less. And stressless.

Back to basics - Organic Skincare.

More Than 60% Of What We Put On Our Skin Is Absorbed Into Our Body.

Hence, synthetic chemicals in many skincare preparations soak into the skin and, as the body cannot recognise and process these 'foreign' substances, these  accumulate in your body with the potential over time to cause an allergic skin reaction (such as contact dermatitis or eczema) and / or disrupt other systems in the body.

Organic Skincare to Decrease Toxic Load of Body:
Choosing certified organic body care is as important in decreasing the toxic load on the body by choosing a healthy diet. Plants grown organically yield the purest oils and extracts, free from herbicide and pesticide contamination. It also yields a higher level of vital antioxidant vitamins than non organic.

Organic means Sustainability Support of Our Environment:
Using organic products also means that you are helping to support the sustainability of our environment.  Organic farming is better for wildlife, causes lower pollution from sprays, and produces less carbon dioxide and less dangerous wastes.

I had the BEST facial experience with Organic products at Celebrity Beaute in Shah Alam yesterday. At the end of the 2 hour facial, i felt like my face is being re-born! Just like a baby's skin, my face feels moist and soft.

Additional stressors to my skin:
I fly every week to KL and many times a year, i have long  plane rides to my conferences, especially in America where plane rides are more than 20 hours. Not only are conditions in the plane drying, i suffer jet lags on some of my long flights. Thus my sleep is affected. Lack of adequate sleep also takes its toll on my skin.

So i guess my skin is going through its spectrum of dryness and massive sebum production.  And to make matters worst, i am out in the sun too as i run outdoors. Well, i  dont mind the occasional freckles but sometimes the pigmentations get to me.

My poor tired skin needs tender loving care and that was what i received at Celebrity Beaute in Shah Alam. And the mood of cosiness ambience helps me unwind too!

Kimy, is their experienced Beautician who attended to me. Excellent service and professionalism. She did an analysis on my skin type too.

As i have sensitive skin and my face needs hydration as well as to get rid of pigmentations, for starters i was given their Signature Oxygen Hydration Facial.

I asked Kimy, how often that i should come for facial. Once to three times a month is good depending on your skin conditions. But it is most important that you have a good skincare routine daily (which i am going to share with you in my next blog on beauty).

Feeling Sci-Fi in the Blue Light which helps in detox
Love the feeling of the oxygen infusing injection

Feeling like a dessert with chocolate mask on my face!

Celebrity Beaute used Arise Organic products imported from Switzerland. I not only feel pampered and loved by the tender loving care of Celebrity Beaute's experienced and well trained beauticians, but i feel good having healthy products on my skin.

I definitely feel good contributing to the environment and doing my bit in taking care of our environment and animals. Read on...
