Hydrate Dry Skin by Sleeping!

  1. Sleep? Do you know that you sweat more during sleep?

While you are asleep your body’s hydration rebalances and recovers extra moisture.  This makes sleep a natural moisturizer that can help to smooth out wrinkles and lines on the skin.

How to hydrate dry skin?
- no high-temperature, hot water on skin when you shower or wash your face. It strips away oil from the skin.

- no excessive skin scrubbing. Once or twice weekly is good.

Although the stratum corneum, the outermost layer of the epidermis, consisting of dead cells (corneocytes) needs removal, excessive scrubbing will rid it of its  fat, oil, and skin cells that help keep moisture in the skin.

For additional fortification for your skin, apply a moisturizer to your face. This can
-  increase the moisture level of the stratum corneum,
- prevent skin from drying out, and,
- if the moisturizer contains a sunscreen, it will also protect against sun damage.

Moisturise! Moisturise! Moisturise!

Night Cream hydrates your skin as you sleep
Night cream has a heavy duty function. Skin repairs itself when you sleep - restoring and regenerating. Night creams' focus are  on moisture and recovery. Night creams  contain the most powerful, slow-absorbing moisturizers that are designed to penetrate over the course of several hours; since there’s little to no concern about sun exposure, they also contain the highest concentrations of anti-aging compounds which are able to do their work without interference from sunscreens. That is why night creams are often richer, thicker, or heavier than day creams.

These are the products I use to hydrate my skin and it works very well as these products are organic with BioCert and ECOCert. Environment friendly and health friendly!

Why Use Both Day and Night Cream?
There is a real difference—purposewise and texturewise—between day and night creams.

Day Cream
Day cream is primarily focused on protection and support. During the day, our skin is subjected to the drying damages of UV rays, pollution, environmental stresses and makeup. Thus day cream most often will contain  SPF to prevent burning and photoaging and contains antioxidants - fighting free radicals. Day creams are designed to be worn under cosmetics, thus they are designed to have light, nongreasy formulas that are absorbed quickly and are pores-breatheable. Day creams provide a smooth, oil-free canvas for foundation to glide on smoothly.

What to do when you have a "Simpul Biawak"  or Leg Muscle Cramps

Simpul biawak or leg muscle cramps happen when your muscle  contracts on its own involuntarily resulting in a spasm.

Why do I get cramps? It is because of any of the following reasons:  -  your muscles are tired  - your muscles are overused -  your body is dehydrated - you lost much pottassium and magnesium affecting the way your muscles work - if you are 65 or older - you are at higher risk  to get muscle cramps - you have any of these conditions - diabetes or hypothyroidism - athletes performing in a high intensity, long duration sports

Immediately stop the activity that triggers the cramp.  - Dont go against the cramps. - Breathe gently through your nose and exhale through your mouth. - Lightly stretch the muscles following the directions of the cramp and once cramps has subsided, stretch slowly against it.  - Only lightly massage the area while stretching it.  - Keep the area warm.
